I started skating in the middle 80´s. I used to skate with my brother and a friend of his in our neighborhood. Back then, we didn´t even know what an ollie was. We just couldn´t imagine that a trick could be performed on a skateboard. We used our boards simply as a fun means of transport so we enjoyed playing, riding and racing on it. We had loads of fun even without being aware of the potential of this amazing invention.

During the beginning of the 90´s the first skatepark of the city was built (The Gulliver Skatepark in Valencia, Spain), and it was then when we saw with our wide open mouths, other kids jumping, carving and doing incredible things throughout the crowded park. I remember so well that day.

That was one of the golden ages of skateboarding and it became a fashion here. Names such as Tony Hawk or Steve Caballero come to my mind when I think of those years. Since then I started to take this sport a bit more seriously and I tried to emulate what the other kids where doing on the streets and ramps… , little by little I learnt to slide, to ollie, to shove it and to drop in.

Due to lack of time, injuries, studies and work, I stopped skating for about 15 years without skating. All of a sudden I had to quit skating at the age of 18 and I eventually forgot the sensation of riding and flowing on a board. During this break in which I didn´t skate all, I dedicated my free time to other interests: mainly music and guitar. I really took benefit from learning music, as I have had many good experiences playing in bands, writing music, playing live in many places, and meeting great musicians and friends. I can´t live without music..

After feeling that I had to practcise sport and find more hobbies, skateboarding came to my mind automatically, and one day, in August 2013 I decided to get a board. I was a bit rusted but after all this time, I was surprised because I remembered all of my tricks (I didn´t have a great repertory though :-), so with more energy, passion and motivation than ever…
